This is a tutorial on how to stream on Twitch with a laptop. Laptops are usually less powerful than some of the streaming PC's you might see your favorite streamers use. Because of this, you want to go light on the settings. Setting your bitrate to 2,000 is a great help. I'd also suggest keeping your encoder preset to "VeryFast" or anything faster than that.
My laptop is an i7-4800 with 8 gigs of ram, and the above settings are what I use.
