Today we focus on the 4th Principle of animation for Minecraft Animations, Pose to Pose vs Straight Ahead animation. This principle of animation describes the two different animation methods.

The most commonly used method for us 3D animators is pose to pose as the computer is able to generate the frames in between, while straight ahead animation is the method animating well, straight ahead.

Pose to Pose animations are better for predictable animations where you know how each pose looks as it allows for a faster workflow and smoother animations.

Straight ahead animations are better for when the animation is unpredictable, these are things like falling bricks or anything with physics.
