After the $170 million fine the FTC brought because of YouTube kids content, some big changes were expected for YouTube kids.
What was unclear is what changes to expect, what content would be considered kids content, and how it would affect other creators.
What was previously stated by YouTube about removing comments and notifications for kid focused content will not change.
However, there have been some major updates on how kids content will be identified, how it will affect these creators, and how it will affect all creators.
There's a growing voice among creators and viewers that YouTube is in trouble and other platforms will take over, but it's likely these changes will affect all platforms sooner or later.
On YouTube alone this will impact millions of creators, along with advertisers, and of course people watching videos.
