Avid dropped a massive update that included a new application, Pro Tools Sketch. For the past 3 decades, Pro Tools has been the leader in non-linear digital audio workstations, however, until now, Pro Tools has lacked a clip based option. Pro Tools Sketch offers a clip-based workflow that will allow the user to arrange on the fly, and export the arrangement to a standard Pro Tools session for further editing and processing. Is it an Ableton killer? Absolutely not! But it's going to turn heads and allow long-time Pro Tools users to shift their train of thought and compose more freely.
