How inclusive can your documents get? / User Experience & Content / Adrian Redman
DrupalSouth Melbourne 2025 conference
12 March 2025
Providing accessible and inclusive content is a key requirement of the new Digital Experience Policy. But what does this actually look like?
Using data and insights collected during the recent redevelopment of the dss.gov.au website we'll take a look at what works, what doesn't work and how you can make incremental improvements today to support your users.
We can also look at a unique approach we've been prototyping to creating a client authored document workflow where your clients edit their documents in Word, then upload their documents to the site to have them automatically converted to html and pdf.
Depending on the time available we can look more closely at Easy Read content, reading levels, translations and AI and how all of these things are helping to improve access to information for those that need it.
Speakers: Adrian Redman
