For this we need:
Green lentils - 400 ml
Lek - 1 piece
Carrots - 1 pc (optional)
Oil - 50 ml
Pepper paste - 50 g (pepper paste recipe:    • Паста из перца. Перцовая паста сделае...  )
Dried mint - 1 tsp.
Dried garlic 1/3 tsp.
Pepper mixture
Ground red hot pepper (optional)
Zira (optional)
Salt -1 tsp.
Boiling water or broth -600-800 ml

Green lentils are simmered over low heat for about 40 minutes.
The exact cooking time depends on the type of green lentils and their shelf life.
