To completely uninstall VSCode (Visual Studio Code) on Windows, you have to first uninstall the program then delete the following two directories to clear any files associated with VSCode:
~/APPDATA/Roaming/Code
~/.vscode
If you do not follow the latter steps, you will find that if you reinstall VSCode it will still have some of your previous settings.
