In this video, we'll be adding a dark mode to your WordPress website. I first going to show you the free version, and after that I'm going to buy the Pro version so you can see if it will fit your need. If you want to help me out, go to https://wp.discount/darkmode/. If you're still logging in using /wp-admin/... that's not a very safe way, so please watch my tutorial about securing your WordPress website. And then we go in the left side to 'Plugins' - 'Add new plugin'. And then we're going to search for the plugin "Dark Mode WP pool". And now we can see this plugin. And we going to install it. And then we press activate. Here we can allow or 'No thanks'. Well all right. Let's head over here to the settings on the left side. The first option is a very neat one if you just want to test it out only for you, you can disable this and then you're the only person who can see the dark mode on your website while being logged in. So this way we can tune and tweak it without going already live. So that's a very nice feature. And then we can choose how we want to use dark mode. Light, dark, or use the system settings of your visitor. I would really advise you to use the system settings, because in general, people already have set up their browser to go to dark mode or the OS on their mobile phones or on their computers. Just keep it like this. This is great. Then we go over here to the 'Admin panel Dark Mode'. If I enable this one and I press 'Save changes', you will see over here a button appearing and switch it to dark mode. And now also the backend is also in dark mode. Now this can be very useful if you create content during hours that you actually need to sleep. So that is also possible. And you can also use this on the block editor when working in in Gutenberg. Then we go over here to customization and the switch settings. In here we have three kind of switches. The floating switch, the menu switch, and the content switch. Well the floating switch is the only thing available for free in this plugin. But we're going to upgrade to a paid plugin in just a second. And I'm going to show you also these two. The floating switch can be this one light, dark, or this one. I really like this switch, but if you have the pro version, we can try any of these which also look really great, but we can customize it. We can make it small, medium, large, double XL or even custom. And then you can just make it the exact size that you would like to have. I'm going with the S feature, that's great. Switch it to the left or right. And if you want to make it custom, we have to buy the pro version. And then we also have this switch. Attention effect. Wobble or vibrate. Really great. Let's scroll up and then we go to the menu switch. Well, I actually want it to have it in the menu. But then we need the ultimate version. So I'm going to buy it in just a second. Hold on. If we then go to 'Color Settings' we can choose the color mode for our Dark Mode. You have the automatic color, but you also have color presets.
