There aren't many things more fun than bombing around off road in something that costs far less than say a modified Landcruiser, Wrangler or Patrol.
They are all amazing off-road and yes you can find examples under $15,000 but at that price, they’ll most likely be pretty bloody rough.
Plus, they are hardly underrated, they’re actually the “go to” off-roading vehicles so they don’t qualify for this list.
But thanks to how underrated the 4x4s on this list are, chances are you can find some bloody good and highly capable vehicles on the used market for this budget.
Now we need to make it clear, the vehicles on this list aren’t necessarily the best, or the most capable or even our go to recommendations for 4x4’s at this budget, these are just awesome options that many of us have completely forgotten about.
