History of Disney’s Discovery Island
Discovery Island was a Walt Disney World Attraction from 1974 until 1999. It was originally named Treasure Island after Disney’s 1950 film. In 1978, it was re-themed Discovery Island, a wildlife sanctuary. Since closure in 1999, it has peaked the interest of those wondering what has happened on the abandoned island. #shorts
