Here is a quick and simple demonstration on how to change the dead / weak battery in your Land Rover. If your fob looks like this one, the process is the exact same regardless of model. You do not need any tools but you will need a brand new replacement 2032 coin cell battery. These batteries will only last about 2-3 years in this fob. First step is to remove the mechanical / physical key and use that to pry off the back half. The back half will be difficult to pry off. Then use your key to remove the dead 2032 battery. Replace it with the new one + side facing outward. Snap it back together and replace your mechanical key.
