1️⃣ The first way requires a Lightning cable. You should probably already have one if you have a MacBook and a phone, so it’s not a big deal. This could get tedious if you add many tracks individually and reconnect every time, so I suggest doing this in batches. The desktop interface of Apple Music is straightforward and easy to use. This is my preferred method to add MP3 to Apple Music.
2️⃣ The second method is fully wireless. Why even use a cable, you might ask? Well, it uses iCloud. You upload the files to the cloud from the computer, then download them on the iPhone. This could take a bit longer than direct USB transmission. Moreover, iCloud has a low storage limit on free accounts. Overall, I don’t like to import MP3s to Apple Music this way, but it definitely works, and sometimes I do end up using it.
