3.4 PDS Kit: Silent Red Dot and Super voting exercise
In this video we explain how to run your next exercise; Silent Red Dot and Super Dot voting. This is a prioritisation exercise. Each participant gets two Red Dot votes to place on any word, sketch or part of a sketch that they strongly feel should be included in the final solution. They can place both red dots on the same thing or on different things. Dot voting is again done in silence. This exercise should take 5 minutes.
The decider (a CEO, Product Manager, key decision maker for the project etc), does not get two Red Dot votes. Instead, while this exercise is happening, the decider will be able to cast 3 Super Dot votes. If a Super Dot vote is placed on a sketch, a word, an aspect of a sketch etc, it means that is definitely being included in the final solution. Super Dots are more powerful than Red Dots.
