Computational Chemistry 3.1 - Energy Gradient
Short lecture on the energy gradient of molecular systems.
The force that atoms feel is equal to the negative potential energy gradient of their atomic coordinates. In a general molecule each atom has 3 coordinates, for a total of a 3N-dimensional gradient vector.
