Short Film -
For my upcoming live-action short film “MAKINA” I decided to take my previz and animatics to the next level using #UE5
I’ve created the entire film in @UnrealEngine 5, using @RokokoMotion Smartsuit Pro II and Head Rig with iPhones and #MetahumAnanimator
Facial animation is completely raw and for body motion capture I did almost none to the bare minimum clean-up.
This is just the #previz, but combining these technologies has already elevated the film’s visual planning!
I also combined this with the actual scan of our shooting location, which I got by #LiDAR scanning using @polycam6558
With this, the actors' blocking, lens choices, and camera placement are already figured out before the actual shoot!
Using Unreal Engine, motion capture, scans, and @KitBash3D #Cargo is an incredibly powerful combo!
