Iwo Jima Volcano Update; Molten Lava Balloons Erupt

A new volcanic eruption recently began just offshore of Japan's infamous island of Iwo Jima. As a result, hundreds of lava balloons were spotted floating away, still degassing from a shallow underwater volcanic vent. This video will display new footage of the eruption, and discuss why it might be occurring.
