STEP BY STEP:
1: Install and update for all users using the macOS command line:
$ curl "https://awscli.amazonaws.com/AWSCLIV2..." -o "AWSCLIV2.pkg"
$ sudo installer -pkg AWSCLIV2.pkg -target /
2: Verify the installation:
$ which aws
/usr/local/bin/aws
$ aws --version
aws-cli/2.1.24 Python/3.7.4 Darwin/18.7.0 botocore/2.0.0
3: Quick configuration with aws configure:
$ aws configure
AWS Access Key ID [None]: AKIAIOSFODNN7EXAMPLE
AWS Secret Access Key [None]: wJalrXUtnFEMI/K7MDENG/bPxRfiCYEXAMPLEKEY
Default region name [None]: us-west-2
Default output format [None]: json
