Spells from wizard for instance on warlock have limited uses rather than costing health and can be restored by sitting or at a campfire
Multiclassing into a class does not give you access to that classes’ items you need fighters weapon mastery or ranger spear proficiency or platelock to unlock many armor/weapons for now.
