We recently left our okra plants neglected for about two weeks in late summer, and many of the pods became hard and overgrown. This video explains three options you can take when this happens, with one being to let them continue to harden and go to seed. Prudent gardeners always need seeds for the next growing season. We also compare which variety has performed the best despite being neglected, as we've grown Clemson spineless and burgundy.
