Miui 9 Big News : Miui 9 Global beta update, Miui 9.6 Stable update Scheduled ||
Greeting MIUIers,
Since the first version of MIUI was released on August 16th 2010, we have been constantly improving the performance of MIUI to provide a better experience for users.
To achieve better system stability and optimization, we have released the last public beta ROM 8.4.19 for MIUI 9 on 20th April 2018. Thereafter, MIUI developers have been focusing on system optimization and bug fixes. It's expected that the update will be resumed around July. We will keep you updated.
In the meantime, in consideration of stability and user experience, some Android 5.X and Android 4.X devices will remain on developer ROM and won't support the subsequent major updates.
Devices that won't get subsequent major updates
Redmi 2, Redmi 1S, Redmi Note, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 2, Redmi 3, Redmi 2 Prime, Mi 4i and Mi 2/2S.
Note: MIUI 9.6 Global Stable ROM is expected to be released for the above devices around July and we will keep you updated.
