How to Use Google's Healthcare APIs and OpenText's Magellan Platform to Improve Patient Care

She then discusses how Google's healthcare APIs can help to solve these problems by providing a standardized way for providers to share patient data. These APIs include the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) API, which allows providers to exchange patient data in a structured format; the Provider Directory API, which allows providers to find and connect with each other; and the Payer to Payer API, which allows providers to submit and track prior authorization requests.
Additionally, Neilley mentions how OpenText's Magellan platform can assist developers in building applications that utilize Google's healthcare APIs. Magellan offers several features that simplify the process of building scalable, secure, and compliant applications for developers, such as a built-in FHIR server, a data governance framework, and a security and compliance framework.
Lastly, Abid provides a demonstration of how to use Google's healthcare APIs and Magellan to build a basic application that enables patients to access their health data. He demonstrates how to create a FHIR server using Magellan, import patient data into the FHIR server, query the FHIR server for patient data, and display the patient data in a user-friendly manner.
