How to use Phone as a web camera | Use your Smartphone as a Webcam
Hello and welcome to my YouTube channel #Teachtech. Today in this video I am going to show you how you can use yours #phonecamera as a #webcam in your laptop or desktop. For this to work, you have to install a software called iriun webcam in your computer and your phone as well. So, let’s go ahead and open the browser. Goto iriun.com. you can see the software for windows mac and Linux. For now, I am going to download the windows version. Iriun webcam is a free app, so you don’t have to pay for it. I have already downloaded this software.
Let’s begin the installation process. Double click on this file. The installation process is very simple as like other software’s. Now the installation process has been completed, launch this iriun webcam server.
Now Goto your phone, and install iriun webcam app. I am using android phone so, I will Goto play store and search for iriun webcam app. Go ahead and install it. Now we have software’s installed on both computer and phone, there are two ways to connect your phones camera as a webcam in your computer. You can either connect usb cable in your phone and in laptop. Or you must connect both devices in the same Wi-Fi. Both works fine.
Right now, I am going to connect my phone and laptop with USB cable. Click on the this enable usb debugging. Scroll downward and select this option. Now you can see the phones camera is now connected in laptop as web camera. From here you can choose the resolution. Higher the resolution, more latency will be there. So, leave it as automatic. Now you can use any applications like, facebook, viber, skype., OBS studios, google meet and so on where you can use your phone camera as a webcam in your laptop or desktop.
