🟣 What Is NVMe?
NVMe is a storage interface and transfer protocol for PCIe-based SSDs. It currently has the fastest response time with minimal latency for computers with a PCIe bus.
🟣 How Does NVMe Work?
Working together with the PCI bus, NVMe can transfer data from the SSD storage directly to the CPU while also allowing it to process thousands of command queues.
🟣 NVMe vs SATA SSD
We compared NVMe and SATA SSDs in several factors – data transfer speed, performance optimization, number of command queues and CPU cycles, latency rates, usage compatibility, and price.
🟣 Considerations Before Using NVMe SSD
NVMe works with several form factors – the PCIe card slot, M.2, and U.2 ports. Also, the latest versions of Linux, Windows, ChromeOS, and macOS are compatible with NVMe.
