My Most Challenging Festival Photography Shoot So Far
Best gig of the year so far: I got to photograph the S20 festival in Bangkok! 🇹🇭 🎉 This is the world's wettest festival! 💦 Everywhere you look, there are water cannons and water guns. The wetter the better! 💧 So, a big challenge: keeping my gear dry. 📸
Solution: professional rain sleeves for my stuff and a poncho for me.
Giving you a behind the scenes look of my most challenging Festival Photography assignment so far. I was hired to shoot S2O festival in Thailand. Which is held during Songkran. An traditional Thai event where spraying water on people stands for good luck. On the first day, I was cautious and a bit nervous. I definitely didn't want my camera gear to get wet. But by the last day, I thought, "F*ck it!" My gear and I, we got this! 💪 So I just dove into the crowd. So glad I did because the photos turned out amazing. What an energy!
