Elche is a city in the Valencian region of Spain. It is the capital of the Baix Vinalopó region, on the banks of the river Vinalopó. The town is located only 10km from Alicante.
There are lovely Palm tree parks and a nice downtown area. The town is inhabited since the 5th century BC and has a rich history.
The Alicante airport is actually between Elche and Alicante.
