How I Use Notion To Simplify My Life [Step-By-Step]
Productivity and time-management YouTubers have praised the powerful app Notion for what it’s done for their lives. Now, I am going to take you to a full breakdown on how I use it to simplify my life - from working as an internal medicine resident, coaching my students, up to my daily routine and everyday life.
Like you, I heard about Notion from the Ali Abdaals and Thomas Franks of the YouTube productivity world. And they presented it as a simple and easy-to-use tool that helps them get more things done, run their business and work as efficiently as possible. At first, it wasn’t as easy as they made it out to be with complicated databases and fancy links, but you do get the hang of it and can be a great addition to your productivity stack.
I take you through how I use the note-taking and organizing features to make it easy to brain dump ideas for work at the hospital, programs for TheMDJourney and Med Elite Academy, and errands for the day. The clean and user-friendly interface makes it very conducive to have all your ideas for future tasks and goals in one place.
Then, I show you how some of these ideas can be turned into and categorized as tasks. Not every task is important. It's great to be able to have a way to see all the to-dos of the day and determine where you should put your focus on, which to leave off for the next day and strategize to tackle bigger tasks. When going through this, you need fewer distractions and a focused notes environment to decide what you’re going after and how your days look like and Notion delivers on that.
