In order to create a planet, you need a planet map texture. You can get any planet for free at solarsystemscope.
Once you have your planet texture in your timeline, add the CC sphere effect.
You can adjust the radius and animate the Rotation Y. Alt-Click the stopwatch and I’ll use time*10.
This will rotate our planet.
You can go into the light and shading settings to adjust the light.
Lastly, feel free to make your planet a 3D layer and create a camera. Then animate the position of the camera to dolly in on your scene.
And that’s a simple way to quickly create a planet animation.
