OPACITY wurde im Jahre 1994 von den ehemaligen EMINENZ-Mitgliedern Zwerg (auch Mitglied von BELMEZ) und Lorenzo gegründet. Kurz darauf veröffentlichte man das Demo „Universum aus Fleisch" und beschloss, OPACITY lediglich als kurzlebiges Studioprojekt ohne jegliche Liveaktivitäten zu betreiben. 16 Jahre später bekundete das kleine Plattenlabel PROBLEM CHILD RECORDS Interesse an einer Wiederveröffentlichung der Aufnahmen in Form einer limitierten LP. Daraufhin beschlossen OPACITY, vier neue Songs als Bonus einzuspielen, die nahtlos an das Material von 1994 anknüpfen.
OPACITY was founded by former EMINENZ members Zwerg (also member of BELMEZ) and Lorenzo back in 1994. In the same year they released a demotape, called "Universum aus Fleisch" (in english it means "Universe made of flesh"). The members decided to operate as a short-lived studio project only - without any live appearances. 16 years after the release of the demo, the small record company PROBLEM CHILD RECORDS was interested in a re-release on a strictly limited vinyl version. OPACITY decided to record four new songs that were added as a bonus.
