Unmedicated & En Caul: My Unexpected Birth Journey
How I laboured and delivered my second child into the world!
AGAIN I planned a home birth and again I ended up at the hospital (however, I'm grateful to have had the option and safety of doing so) but this time I delivered unmedicated. All I will say is ouch.
Our babe arrived en caul, meaning he was delivered in the amniotic sac which somehow stayed in tact despite my waters leaking throughout the day. My midwife popped the sac and released our son, and there he was!
This is the vlog, and soon will come a coffee talk explaining the story in more detail.
Huge thank you to my amazing midwives, my incredible sister who has helped me bring both of my children earthside, and my partner for taking my hand through this experience. And thank you for all your patience and support in this chapter of my life.
