Science starts with a desire to answer the unanswered; a fascination with what makes us, us. And for many scientists, this feeling stems from a specific question, usually at a young age.
Robert Blelloch, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Urology; Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences; and Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). For him, it began with the realization that everything living starts in the same way and that when it comes to people vs worms, we’re more similar than we think.
