As the architect for many of the NHL’s best shooters, Tim Turk has been focusing on shooting and scoring for a long time and he’s got the client base to prove it.
As he explains in his 2024 TCS Live talk, getting his players to think about their shooting mechanics is the goal in Turk’s shooting drills. The next mechanic that Turk highlights is in a player's arms. In shooting drills, Turk preaches to his players to get their bottom hand fully extended and directed at their intended target.
