Safe Spots are areas where the Entities; Rush and Ambush are unable kill you, these Safe Spots are able to hide you from them, the Entities use Line of Sight (Raycasting) to check if they can see the player, most Safe Spots work due to the Line of Sight intersecting with an obstacle, preventing the Entity from seeing the player, additionally, they also have a maximum range, so if you go out far enough, you won't be seen and killed.
Rush also has some limitations that Ambush doesn't, for one, Rush cannot see through some objects, especially low height objects, for example: Beds, Fallen bookshelves, and many more, Crouching will intersect their Line of Sight with the objects, hence, not allowing Rush to see you, Rush also has a small Maximum Range, as for Ambush, its Maximum Range is way larger, and it could also see through nearly every object that Rush can't see through.
