Netanyahu visits Gaza | VOA News
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and new Defense Minister Israel Katz met with troops at an undisclosed location Tuesday in Gaza.
A U.S. diplomat arrived Tuesday in Beirut to meet with Lebanese officials about a possible cease-fire agreement — reportedly approved by Hezbollah — that would end fighting between Israel and the Iran-backed group.
Both the Lebanese government and Hezbollah have agreed to a proposal that was submitted last week and made some comments on the content, Ali Hassan Khalil told Reuters on Monday. Khalil is an aide to Parliament Speaker and Hezbollah ally Nabih Berri, who is mediating for the militants.
