ASL Receptive Fingerspelling Practice.
Intended Audience: Mid-semester, Level 1 (Beginner)
Dr. Bill of ASL University (Lifeprint.com) drills a volunteer student (CJ) on fingerspelling. Note: Yes, I know that at times I spell "very fast" to beginner level students. I do that on purpose to help them get past always trying to read "letter by letter." The goal is to learn to recognize the shape and flow of fingerspelled words. I intentionally challenge the students to see how much they are capable of accomplishing.
