Last week we were in Miami. Soaking up the sun, checking out some of the biggest boats in the world and looking at a very exclusive – and expensive – timepiece. Here’s what went down.
Esquire was invited over to check out the brand new Ulysse Nardin Marine Mega Yacht. Of course, where better to launch a watch with such a name than at the Miami Boat Show, onboard a 28 million dollar superyacht.
The watch itself is pretty special. Only 30-pieces have been made, and each features a flying tourbillon movement along with a pretty epic time reserve indicator. That’s right, the power reserve is handled via a proper anchor, complete with chain that raises and falls just like a real anchor. It’s all powered by a proper gear system, just like on the real boats.
