About this video: In this video, we'll guide you step-by-step on how to download and install Fabric in Minecraft 1.20.2. This will allow you to get any Minecraft 1.20.2 Fabric mods you want. From mods biome mods to quality of life mods to everything in between, if it is a Fabric 1.20.2 mod, this video will allow you to install it!
The first step is going over how to download Fabric 1.20.2. You can find a link in the description above to download Fabric. That will take you you our complete text tutorial on getting Fabric. Once you are there, click the “Download Fabric” button to go to the Fabric 1.20.2 download page.
On this page, you will click the “Download Installer Universal .jar” link. This will start the Fabric Installer downloading.
Now we can move on to how to install Fabric 1.20.2 in Minecraft. Start by locating the Fabric Installer file you downloaded and open it with Java. You may need tod download Java 17 from the description above.
The Fabric installer will then open. Make sure the version is 1.20.2 in the dropdown menu, then click “Install”. The installer will then automatically install Fabric 1.20.2 for Minecraft.
Once Fabric is installed, we can move on to how to download Fabric mods for Minecraft 1.20.2. We are going to be getting Inventory HUD+, Spark, and Blockus, but this will work for any Fabric 1.20.2. It’s extremely important that your mods are for the Fabric mod loader and Minecraft version 1.20.2. If they aren’t, it will not work.
You will also need to download the FabricAPI. It’s extremely common for Fabric mods to use the FabricAPI. A lot of mods also require other mods, so be sure to check the mod’s description for any mods it may require.
Now, we can move on to how to install Fabric mods in Minecraft 1.20.2. To do this, open the Minecraft Launcher. Click on “Installation” at the top and hover over the Fabric 1.20.2 installation. Click the folder that appears.
Your .minecraft folder will open. Here, you should see a “mods” folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, simply create one. Drag and drop the Fabric mods you downloaded into this folder. Once that's done, you're all set to play Minecraft with your new Fabric mods.
Just navigate back to the Minecraft Launcher and play Minecraft using the Fabric 1.20.2 installation. You must use the Fabric installation in order for it to work in Minecraft.
