'Prolific' orca matriarch presumed dead
Well-known matriarch orca T46 or 'Wake' is presumed dead after not being spotted with her family on the B.C. coast for nearly a year. She is being celebrated as 'one of the most prolific females on record,' helping grow the population of Bigg's transient killer whales.
