Interactive Visualization of High-Resolution, Global-Scale Climate Data in the Cloud
Built on NVIDIA Omniverse and the OpenUSD 3D framework, the Earth-2 platform enables aggregation and visualization of diverse, global-scale climate simulation and geospatial datasets.
With 1.25-kilometer resolution, scientists can zoom into various regions or even all the way down to specific areas of a city.
This is made possible with cloud-native technology. Filtering, processing, and rendering all happen close to the raw data source, eliminating time-consuming data transfers. And by streaming pixels rather than large datasets, visualizations can be explored by anyone around the globe, even those without access to high-end, local computational resources.
