How To Use The Title Column In A SharePoint List:
1. It's a single line of text column - just use it as such - don't be afraid!
2. It's great for keeping track of unique items in a list when a drop down is impractical.
3. Don't be afraid to change the name of the title column within the context of the individual list.
4. Remember that even when you rename the "Title," column...it will ALWAYS be hard coded as "Title."
