Labetalol is an alpha and beta-adrenergic blocker. It selectively blocks alpha-1 receptors, and non-selectively blocks beta-receptors to decrease blood pressure, heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand.

So it is used-in the management of hypertension.

Labetalol is available as 100 mg, 200 mg and 300 mg tablets, And also available as injection.
