MacBook swollen battery removal (GONE WRONG)
This plastic MacBook from 2011 has a swollen battery, also known as a spicy pillow. This tech problem happens on all devices that have internal batteries, like a phone or laptop. Thankfully this battery is easy to remove and replace because Apple didn't glue it in like with modern MacBook’s. I’m also able to remove the hard drive to recover the data, something I can’t do with modern MacBooks due to the drive being soldered to the board. An easily replaceable battery in a computer should be standard technology in 2024, but instead phone and pc manufacturers glue it in so you’ll be pressured to buy a new one when it begins to fail. What a wonderful world.
