I had a piece of Silver Maple lying around the shop collecting dust, so I used it to make a Charcuterie Board with a built in handle. Basic process of planning the board flat and removing most of the live edge, drilling the hole with a forstner bit, cutting the shape out with a jig saw, rounding over the edge with a round over bit, and sanding before finish. Finish process is 2 coats of mineral oil letting that soak in, and then one coat of butcher block conditioner.
Board measures in a 30"x10"x1" (end to tip of the handle)
