In the previous video, we learned about the Waterfall model in SDLC, but there were certain drawbacks of the Waterfall model. To overcome those shortcomings, the V Model in SDLC was introduced.

Similar to the Waterfall model, in the V Model we have sequential phases like requirement gathering, design, etc., but in the V Model, each phase has an associated testing phase. This V-shaped diagram displays the different phases of the V Model in SDLC. The left-hand side of the V represents the verification phases while the right-hand side represents the validation phases; therefore, it is also known as the Verification & Validation Model.

Basically, the V Model is a more structured model compared to the Waterfall model, where every development phase has a corresponding testing phase.
