Why is it so hard to change...
Let's say you accidentally take a wrong turn and run into a dead end. It doesn't take you where you're going, so you turn around and look for a new path.
At the same time, you acknowledge how you arrived here to avoid this from ever happening again.
It’s simple enough, right?
But it got me thinking - Why do we keep repeating the same mistakes, over and over again?
The things that weaken and hurt us, maybe even others.
We say we'll stop, this was the last time, tomorrow will be different, but it never really is. Somehow, we always make it back to the dead end.
As time passes, our words become less and less convincing.
The promises we make ourselves lose their meaning.
Days go by, weeks turn into months, which could then become years
We keep going in the same direction, hoping and waiting for a different outcome, but will it ever come? We say we'll change, but will that ever happen?
