The Minecraft Survival Guide Season 3 continues in Minecraft 1.20!
In this tutorial, we visit our first Desert Pyramid, and we bring the new Brush tool so we can try some Minecraft Archaeology!
The Desert Temple holds two secret rooms. The first is a loot chamber with an explosive trap, but a chance for the Dune Armor Trim, Enchanted Golden Apples, precious resources and enchanted books! The other is a new side room added in the Trails & Tales update. Players can brush suspicious sand in this area for artifacts as they remove the sand and uncover the floor mosaic. This can yield more precious resources, TNT and Gunpowder, and the new Pottery Sherds!
We also find our first Pottery Sherd in a Desert Well, visit a ruined Nether Portal and discuss how to restore it, then establish a new Nether Portal at the desert location. It drops us off in an unexpected location in the Nether, and we dig a tunnel home to connect it to our Nether Hub!
Finally, we look at how Pottery Sherds can be crafted into new Decorated Pots along with Bricks, and explore ways they can be combined with flower pots for decoration!
