Today we're going to take a quick look at PowerPoint's excellent new feature Morph.

If you've ever messed around before with PowerPoint animations and had trouble lining up an object's position with where it ended in the previous animation, this will come in handy.

To start, I'm just going to create a bunch of letters to use in the animation. I'm just going to make some final adjustments here and then I'm going to duplicate the slide. The new slide I'm going to take out the letters I want to emphasize in this animation then I'm going to move everything around so that it's laid out exactly how I want it to end.

Once I've got it all laid out the way I want, I'm going to go up to the transition menu and with the final slide highlighted I'm going to select Morph.

Hit preview to see what the new Morph looks like and you can see that after just a couple steps with a clean and smooth animation that would have taken us a lot longer before this.

So now we've moved around a couple of objects here, but we can also change the colors of everything. So I'm just going to highlight the PLEXKITS word here modify the text color and watch what happens to the animation...it does it all for you.

I'm just going to add a few more colors here so you can see the effect again go back to the transition menu and add Morph to the final slide, and there you have it. If we make a copy of the first slide and put it at the end, the Morph will reset itself back to the beginning. Let's take a preview of how everything looks so far.

For that little amount of work, it looks pretty good if you ask me.

Now that we've seen what we can do with movement and colors let's take a look at what we can do it shapes. I've got the word PLEXKITS here written on a new slide. Now this isn't text; this is actual shaping with points already, so you're going to need some shapes to start with, but this is just to give you an idea.

We're going to duplicate the slide and in the second slide, I'm going to edit all the points into to create a new shape of the word PLEXKITS. I think I'm actually going to use this slide as the beginning slide so that it morphs into the word PLEXKITS. So I'm going to move this slide in front of the previous one, add the morph transition to the PLEXKITS slide, now let's take a look at what
it looks like.

And there we have it that's all we're going to look at today, but powerpoint morph actually can accomplish a lot of other things if you put your mind to it.
