protein quantification techniques are used to determine the total concentration of protein in a solution. One among many colorimetric assays for this is the Bradford Assay developed by Marion Bradford. The assay is easy to perform and delivers results in a short time. The Bradford test is based on Coomassie Brilliant Blue G250, a dye which binds to proteins in an acidic environment.
