"Paris also is related to the Fantasy Concertante, later work was written by Villa-Lobos in Paris in 1953, commissioned by the American pianist Eugene List and his dedicated. Anyway, the piece would only be released posthumously, in Rio de Janeiro (1968), Jose Botelho (clarinet), Noel Devos (bassoon) and Ivy Improta (piano).

For Taraste Eero Finnish musicologist, Fantasie is among the best works of the late period of Villa-Lobos, which find a balance between form and matter. The excessive length that so often characterizes his works, was here avoided. Also influenced by Stravinsky, the work of Jean Françaix, celebrated for its refinement, elegance and humor present in scores as the Piano Concerto (1936), and Bright Trio for Strings (1933). His Divertissement for Oboe, Clarinet and Bassoon was composed in 1947 for the Trio André Dupont." (Lindoro)
