We’re taking our current technology for granted, which is slowing down our progress, says Virginia Postrel.
It’s easy to underestimate the consequences of avoiding new technology, but doing so can be highly damaging to our society. Instead, we should embrace experimentation and seek to understand all the potential of new tech.
This dynamist approach gives us the opportunity to identify the parts of our technology that we would like to improve. This way, we can keep making progress – identifying the weak spots and strengthening them with increasingly innovative solutions.
