Fluid Mechanics Lesson Series - Lesson 04B: Fluid Flow Patterns
In this 11-minute video, Professor Cimbala defines and compares streamlines, pathlines, streaklines, and timelines. He explains the differences between these four methods of visualizing fluid flow patterns. He also does a mathematical example problem showing how to generate the equation of a streamline for a given velocity field.
This video incorporates material from Section 4-2 of the Fluid Mechanics textbook by Cengel and Cimbala.
